Bio[]
Roy started his career as a model in Salatiga . Roy once won the King Boutique in Central Java, then moved to Jakarta. Roy was the third of six children, from Abdul Salam and Johanna Nora Van Daatselaar (born 1931, died 2005). His first brother is Rudy Salam (actor), the second is Melani Kusuma (a catering entrepreneur in Jakarta), his first sister is Eri Salam (a notary in Semarang), his second sister is Ronny Sarsono (a savings and loan cooperative entrepreneur), and his last brother, Chris Salam ( lawyer and actor ). Roy's golden age was in 1977, when he was known as one of the star group " The Big Five ", which consisted of: himself, Yati Octavia , Robby Sugara , Doris Callebaute , and Yenny Rachman .
